Ms. Raedene began dancing at the age of 4 and started teaching dance while she was in H.S. She is a Chippewa Valley H.S. Graduate where she was Captain of the Chippette Dance Team.
She has been training dancers for over 23 years. Ms. Raedene continues to attend National Business seminars and Dance Conventions to further her education in Dance and Business. She loves to teach young children and see them grow into beautiful dancers and role models for the upcoming Stars!
Talented Teachers
The staff at Raedene’s uses a very positive approach, while building the dancer's self esteem. They are personable instructors who have extensive backgrounds in dance education and teaching. Our teacher’s backgrounds include, College Dance Degrees, H.S. coaching experience, NDA instructors, National Head Instructors, Judges for National Dance competitions and professional experience with the Royal Winnepeg Ballet Company, and Detroit Auto Shows. . All of the teachers at RDSS are required to continue their Dance Education. Many of our teachers are pursuing Certification with Dance Masters of America, National Teachers Training programs through Music Works Unlimited and the Broadway Dance Center in New York.
Ms. Chrissy Fortuna,
Guest Artist/Choreographer
Chrissy Fortuna taught for RDSS for 12
years. She taught numerous classes and companies was
the coach/choreographer for the award winning Jr.
Starlettes, Starlettes and Elite All-Star teams.
Chrissy has worked for the National Dance Alliance
(NDA) for the past 10 years and is currently a Head
Instructor, Judge and East Coast State Director.
Chrissy is also a freelance choreographer and has a
background in broadcast arts. She has
choreographed/performed for Chevy, Make-A-Wish
Foundation, MGM Grand Detroit Casino, Royal Park
Hotel, IMTA, Macomb Jr. Players and has been an
affiliate of Gail & RIce, John Robert Powers,
Affiliated Group and Leige Entertainment.
Currently Ms. Chissy lives in Los Angelas Ca, where she works with Production/Talent Companies and continues to free lance as a Choreographer.
Ms. Maria Buchholtz,
Ms. Maria is a graduate of Wayne State University with a minor in dance education. She is also currently pursuing certification with Dance Masters of America. She has been teaching at RDSS for 10 years. With over 18 years of dance experience she has studied ballet, lyrical, modern and jazz styles with many nationally known dancers and teachers. Ms. Maria received the Dare to be Different Choreogogrpahy Award two different years for her Creative Ballet Routines. This past year she received a Choreography Award for her Lyrical Routine;Hands which was 1st overall at Nexstar Competition. She also spent several years as a Cheerleading Coach and Choreographer for several local high schools.
Miss. Andrea Hudock,
~Trained in Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop , Pom, and Ballet for 16 years.
~ Teacher and Explosion Coach for over 4 years.
~ Coach of the RDSS Jr Starlettes and Production coordinator.
~Competed with award winning dance teams at regional and national competitions from San Diego, Chicago, Charleston and Orlando.
~Awarded All-American Dance team member and received the opportunity to dance at the Rose and Orange Bowl half time show
~Professional ballerina for "Make a Wish Foundation"
~One year graduate of Dance Masters of America teacher training in Buffalo, New York
~Received a certificate of completion from "The Pulse" teacher training where she was trained by the likes of Wade Robson and Mia Micheals.
~Pursuing Dance Minor at Oakland University
~2 Choreography Awards in 2007-2008 for the Jr Starlettes Pom Teams.

Ms. Jennie Wiegand,
Jennie has been a student, assistant and staff member of RDSS most years since the studio's opening. She has 19 years of training in various styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, pointe and modern. Jennie was a member of the Dakota High School Varsity dance team for four years, including Lieutant Junior Year and Captain Senior Year. She was also a member of the Michigan State Repertory Dance Company during her undergraduate education at the university.
Miss. Melissa Kubiak,
Melissa Kubiak has been a student and competitive dancers at R.D.S.S. since we opened 13 years ago. This will be here second year teaching recreational classes at the studio. Miss. Melissa coached the Cardinal Mooney Dance Team. She is also an instructor for the National Dance Alliance and attends Oakland University pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and Dance.
Miss. Melissa is currently the co coach of Elite and Starlettes.
Ms. Brooke Valot,
Graduated in 2004 with her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and a minor in Psychology from Western Michigan University. She has performed in numerous concerts, competed nationally, and received scholarships in jazz and tap from conventions such as Company Dance with Paula Abdul. In 2003 she performed in Washington D.C. at the IABD Conference. In spring of 1999 she was a backup dancer for the Detroit tour of singer Rita Mosley. After traveling through Europe in 2006, she received her ACE Certification in Personal Training. Ms. Brooke is qualified to teach Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Ballet, and Modern. Her most recent achievement was the "Most Artistic Choreography Award" from the 2007 Fire & Ice International Talent Competition. This will be Miss. Brooke's 2nd year at RDSS!
Miss. Nikki Fell,
Nikki has been dancing since the age of three under the direction of MaryLou Barnes and Suzette D'Andrea at Dancers Workshop in St. Clair Shores. She has performed with the Metropolitan Ballet in The Nutcracker, at the "Jazz on Tap Festival" in Atlanta, competed in numerous competitions as well and danced in the musical, "Me and My Gal". Nikki has professional teaching experience as a teaching assistant for Dance Olympus Dance Conventions. She passed her grade 1-4 ballet exams with the Cecchetti Council of America.Nikki has trained under choreographers such as Dustin Phillips, Doug Caldwell, Tom Alexander and many more. She has also received a dance scholarship to Oakland University and is now working toward a degree in communications and a minor in dance. Nikki looks forward to teaching and is excited to share her love of dance through her classes and choreography.
Ms. Ashley Carlton:
Re-located from Minneapolis. Ms. Ashley studied ballet and pointe at the Minnesota Dance Theatre, Ballet Arts Minnesota, Point Park College in Pittsburgh, and the Milwaukee Ballet School. In addition, Ms. Ashley’s professional experience includes dancing with the Spring Board Company of Minnesota and the Professional Division of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. She has been an independent master instructor for the Hopkins Dance Center, The Dance Shoppe, and Northland School of Dance. A superior understanding of technique combined with a love for the art of ballet and pointe are qualities that have helped Ashley to become the instructor that she is today. Ashley’s ability to share this knowledge and passion with her students establishes a learning environment that is truly worthy of a “Bravo”.
Ms Ashley recently developed the 5 Levels of Ballet program that is used at RDSS. Dancers receive different color dance belts based on their level in ballet.
Miss. Alyssa C. Lowery,
Danced competitively at Suzettes Masters of Dance for 11 years in jazz, tap and lyrical, winning national dance titles and placing in the National top10 for solos. She was a member of the National Award winning Eisenhower H.S. Dance team. Miss. Alyssa was a back up dancer for Enrique Iglesias, and is a promotional agent/model with The Talent Shop. She has trained and choreographed numerous award winning solo and team performances. Miss. Alyssa has teaching experience with Anchor Bay and Mt. Clemens schools, where she student teaches as part of the Bachelors of Arts program at Oakland University.
Ms. Camille Ludwig,
Ms. Camille is a graduate from Wayne State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Dance Education. She is a former member of the WSU Dance Company. In the production of the Nutcracker, she performed the Spanish Dance Solo. She has received several awards in competition for pointe work. She has also judged competitions and taught at outside conventions. She has been teaching ballet and lyrical at Raedene's for ten years, and continues to choreograph beautiful ballet and lyrical dances.
Miss. Jenny Kasprzyk,
Miss Jenny K. graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in nutrition and works full time as a registered dietitian for the state of Michigan. She has studied dance for more than 20 years, participating in group competitions for close to 10 years. She is in her 4th year teaching at RDSS has been working with the hip-hop company students as well as teaching many of the recreational classes. She has also judged regional competitions and choreographed routines for dance teams and cheer squads. Miss Jenny K. is a gifted teacher who especially enjoys working with our pom and hip-hop students.
